КОЙ СТОИ ЗАД ТОЗИ ФЕСТИВАЛ?

Дания, Франция, Германия, Литва, Люксембург, Полша и Испания – деветима доброволци от Eвропейската Доброволческа Служба, които от седем месеца живеят във София в рамките на проекти по програма „Младежта в действие” на ЕК. Организация-домакин Фондация ЖАР театър-изкуство-култура.

Изследвайки улиците на София, бихме искали да провокираме малък диалог с града. По пътя си вие ще откриете странни кукли, шикозна шайка-„класици”, постери с „нов” език, хора, играещи си с нишки, TV, която оживява...Ще отворим „кутията” пълна с целия този луд свят, който е резултат от нашата среща със София. Наслаждавайте се на своята разходка и не се срамувайте да се самоизразите...

В акциите участват и млади артисти от България, както и случайни минувачи

Open participative creation of a poem in the floor.

Everybody will participate making a big poem in the city, for the city. Come and contribute with your words.

Take a deep breath. After some minutes, you will arrive to a forest. Neverland hanging in the trees, to tell you a story.

Perceptron collective from spain brings their collection of photos from the ground of Madrid in the walls of Sofia.

We are all carrying our ghost with us. My most precious one never came to Bulgaria before. Will you find her?

Don’t you see everyday all those advertising? How many posters did you see today without read it? This visual pollution is taking all the space. Give some air to the walls, and to your thoughts… Now the white page is waiting for you.

Playing with the empty shapes between the letters, following the lines of a new alphabet we discover some familiar landscapes.
We travel on the walls of Sofia. From the small letters to the huge buildings, we can imagine the stories of other cities.

Maria Acha's work generates a dialogue around home violence. Her stickers with the names of the spanish death victims will be used for making a performance in the park.

- Trash puppets

Puppets placed along the red line. And Photo Contest.

This puppets are made out of trash that is found in the streets of Sofia, and essentially are a part of the city – just brought into another form. This “trashy” side of Sofia, a side which usually angers or disturbs you or you choose to ignore but has now become conscious and “looks” back at you.

THE STREET ART FESTIVAL

Normal daily life. 12 in the morning. Walking around the streets you find something different. You cross the red line. You break your way, we invite you along. Be aware. Discover. The city is yours.

PLAYGRAD is an street event the 30th of May in Sofia. The center of the city will be occupied by performances, music, installations, games, challenges, during all day long.

This is a proposal for you, street walking user, who owns the city. We offer you a way to follow, a red line that will guide you all over the route we have prepared. Take your time, enjoy your space, and come to play the city with us.

THE VOLUNTEERS

Denmark, France, Germany, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Poland and Spain. Nine volunteers from all over Europe, hosted by the FIRE theatre-art-culture FOUNDATION. Seven months living in Sofia.

By exploring the streets we want to have a little dialogue with the city.
On your way you will find strange puppets, a posh music gang, posters with a new language, people playing with strings, TV coming to life... We open a box full of this crazy world that results from our meeting with Sofia. Enjoy your walk and don't hesitate to express yourself!

European Voluntary Service

The Youth in Action programme offers young Europeans the chance to make a real difference to the world – and to their own lives – through the European Voluntary Service.

The European Voluntary Service (EVS) provides young Europeans with the unique chance to express their personal commitment through unpaid and full-time voluntary activities in a foreign country within or outside the EU. In this way, it seeks to develop solidarity, mutual understanding and tolerance among young people, thus contributing to reinforcing social cohesion in the European Union and to promoting young people's active citizenship.

Learning for life!
Open to all young people aged 18 to 30, EVS is a true ‘learning service’. Beyond benefiting the local communities, by participating in voluntary activities, young volunteers can develop new skills and, therefore, improve their personal, educational and professional development. Volunteers can benefit from specific training throughout the activity and agree on their expected learning outcomes, processes and methods in advance. Their learning experience is formally recognised through a Youthpass. Participation is free for the volunteers who also get board and lodging, insurance cover and an allowance for the duration of the project. Special conditions apply to encourage the participation of young people with fewer opportunities. For instance, they can participate as of the age of 16. Further information can be found in the Youth in Action Programme Guide as well as in the Inclusion Strategy of the Programme.

FIRE theatre-art-culture FOUNDATION is non-governmental organization established in June 2005 with the mission to assist the social integration and the personal realization of the Youth as well to contribute to the steadily increasing of the level of culture and erudition, to the building of active civil consciousness and to the developing of the Art. Fire Foundation fulfils different modes of cultural exchanges, formal and un-formal educational programmes, festivals, art-campaigns, EVS projects (sending & host organisation) etc.

The main desire of FIRE FOUNDATION is to contribute with its activities to the integration of Bulgaria in Europe as well to the better understanding between the different cultures, to the tolerance and good will, to the better future for the Europe and the World
